Hydrodynamic instabilities in one-dimensional electron flow in semiconductor and their dependency with the electron and lattice temperatures are studied here. The driving force for the electrons is imposed by a voltage difference, and the hydrodynamic and electrostatic equations are linearized with respect to the steady-flow solution. A two-temperature hydrodynamic model predicts a stable elect...

abstract erosion and sedimentation are the most complicated problems in hydrodynamic which are very important in water-related projects of arid and semi-arid basins. for this reason, the presence of suitable methods for good estimation of suspended sediment load of rivers is very valuable. solving hydrodynamic equations related to these phenomenons and access to a mathematical-conceptual model ...

Biomimetic underwater vehicle design has attracted the attention of researchers for various reasons such as ocean investigation, marine environmental protection, exploring fish behaviors and detecting the leakage of oil pipe lines. Fish and other aquatic animals have good maneuverability and trajectory following capability. They also efficiently stabilize themselves in currents and surges leave...

We show that a phenomenological hydrodynamic lattice-gas model of two-phase flow, developed by Rothman and Keller in 1988 and used extensively for numerical simulations since then, can be derived from an underlying model of particle interactions. From this result, we elucidate the nature of the hydrodynamic limit of the Rothman-Keller model.

Solute diffusion in hydrogels is important in many biotechnology fields. Solute behavior in hydrogels has been explained in terms of reduction in hydrogel free volume, enhanced hydrodynamic drag on the solute, increased path length due to obstruction, and a combination of hydrodynamic drag and obstruction effects. In this article the various mathematical models derived to explain and predict so...

Hydrodynamic models have been very successful in describing the collective behavior of matter at RHIC, such as single particle spectra and elliptic flow. In particular the strong elliptic flow which, for the first time, reaches the hydrodynamic limit at RHIC, provides us with a new understanding of the nature of the quark-gluon plasma (QGP) created at RHIC as strongly interacting or correlated ...
