Mass measurements of objects that decay into hadronic jets, such as the top quark, is shown to be improved by using a variant of the kt jet algorithm in place of standard cone algorithms. The possibility and importance of better estimating the neutrino component in tagged b jets is demonstrated. These techniques will also be useful in the search for Higgs → bb̄. Typeset using REVTEX

We present a measurement of the W boson mass in W-->e(nu) decays using 1 fb-1 of data collected with the D0 detector during Run II of the Fermilab Tevatron collider. With a sample of 499830 W-->e(nu) candidate events, we measure M(W)=80.401+/-0.043 GeV. This is the most precise measurement from a single experiment.

Beijing The mass of the ~ lepton has been measured at the Beijing Electron Positron Collider using the Beijing Spectrometer. A search near threshold for e+e-~ ~+~-was performed. Candidate events were identified by requiring that one T decay via ~ ~ ev>, and the other via 74 pvti. The mass value, obtained from a fit to the energy dependence of the T+7-cross section, is m, = 1776.9~~:~ + 0.2 MeV....

We present a precision measurement of the top-quark mass using the full sample of Tevatron √s = 1.96 TeV proton-antiproton collisions collected by the CDF II detector, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 8.7 fb(-1).
