Paratesticular Rhabdomyosarcoma is a rare mesenchymal tumor. The Alveolar variant the one with worse prognosis. It comprehend 20% of cases. treatment multimodal combining surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Depending on extent disease staging group, approach different. Here we report case an alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma review literature regarding this unusual clinical entity.

Breast cancer stem cells (CSC) are small subset of tumor cells within the tumor, possessing distinct immunological phenotype; they initiate the tumor and sustain tumor growth. Epithelial to mesenchymal transition (EMT) is the loss of epithelial differentiation and gained the mesenchymal properties among some of tumor cells. Acquisition of mesenchymal phenotype allows these cells to infiltrate s...

Glioblastoma (GBM) invasion and migration are key biological behaviors leading to refractoriness to current therapies and infiltration into the non‑tumor brain parenchyma. GBM cell migration is strongly dependent on tumor architecture in vivo, which is absent in traditional two‑dimensional (2D) monolayer culture. The present study applied a three‑dimensional (3D) hydrogel model to rebuild the t...

BACKGROUND Mesenchymal chondrosarcoma is a rare malignant tumor arising from bone or soft tissues. Instraspinal dumbbell-shaped mesenchymal chondrosarcoma is even rarer; however, it should not be neglected by clinicians. CASE PRESENTATION A 26-year-old female was referred to our hospital with a 1.5-month history of sciatic pain and numbness in the left leg. Computed tomography and magnetic re...

Circulating tumor cells (CTCs) with phenotypic hallmarks of epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) reportedly contribute to tumor metastasis in different cancer types. We therefore evaluated the expression of EMT markers in CTCs obtained from a large cohort of Chinese patients with colorectal cancer (CRC) and investigated their clinical relevance. The CanPatrolTM CTC enrichment technique was u...

BACKGROUND Tumor cells can move in a three-dimensional (3D) environment in either mesenchymal-type or amoeboid modes. In mesenchymal-type movement, cells have an elongated morphology with Rac-induced protrusions at the leading edge. Amoeboid cells have high levels of actomyosin contractility, and movement is associated with deformation of the cell body through the matrix without proteolysis. Be...

Tumor-associated macrophages are known to amplify the malignant potential of tumors by secreting a variety of cytokines and proteases involved in tumor cell invasion and metastasis, but how these macrophages infiltrate tumors and whether the macrophage migration process facilitates tumor cell invasion remain poorly documented. To address these questions, we used cell spheroids of breast carcino...

chondrosarcoma is the second most common primary mesenchymal malignant tumor of the bone. the most common form is central chondrosarcoma and the rarest is intracortical chondrosarcoma. here, we describe the clinical, pathological, and imaging features of a case of intracortical chondrosarcoma as well as the outcome of surgical treatment. this is the third case reported in the literature.

Twist1 is an epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT)-inducing transcription factor (TF) that promotes cell migration and invasion. To determine the intrinsic role of Twist1 in EMT and breast cancer initiation, growth, and metastasis, we developed mouse models with an oncogene-induced mammary tumor containing wild-type (WT) Twist1 or tumor cell-specific Twist1 knockout (Twist1TKO). Twist1 knocko...

Schwannomas are mesenchymal tumors that characteristically benign and slow growing, which originate from any nerve with schwann cell sheath. Here, we report the case of a 28-year-old woman patient who was diagnosed stomach obstructive lesions causing severe gastric dilatation. She underwent distal gastrectomy histopathological examination tumor revealed one schwannoma.
