let $mathcal m$ be a factor von neumann algebra. it is shown that every nonlinear $*$-lie higher derivation$d={phi_{n}}_{ninmathbb{n}}$ on $mathcal m$ is additive. in particular, if $mathcal m$ is infinite type $i$factor, a concrete characterization of $d$ is given.

Let $mathfrak{A}$ be a Banach algebra. We say that a sequence ${D_n}_{n=0}^infty$ of continuous operators form $mathfrak{A}$ into $mathfrak{A}$ is a textit{local higher derivation} if to each $ainmathfrak{A}$ there corresponds a continuous higher derivation ${d_{a,n}}_{n=0}^infty$ such that $D_n(a)=d_{a,n}(a)$ for each non-negative integer $n$. We show that if $mathfrak{A}$ is a $C^*$-algebra t...

The Lie derivation of multivector fields along multivector fields has been introduced by Schouten (see cite{Sc, S}), and studdied for example in cite{M} and cite{I}. In the present paper we define the Lie derivation of differential forms along multivector fields, and we extend this concept to covariant derivation on tangent bundles and vector bundles, and find natural relations between them and...

After recalling the definition of codes as modules over skew polynomial rings, whose multiplication is defined by using an automorphism and a derivation, and some basic facts about them, in the first part of this paper we study some of their main algebraic and geometric properties. Finally, for module skew codes constructed only with an automorphism, we give some BCH type lower bounds for their...

Hardware/Software Co-Design usually encounters serious problems to guarantee strong real-time constraints while serving many interrupt routines. We present an enhanced register-based RISC processor, which is capable of launching every interrupt routine within two clock cycles. This processor is implemented as soft IP-Module and features a customizable instruction set, extensive parameterization...

Endomorphism rings of modules appear as the center of a ring, as the fix ring of a ring with group action or as the subring of constants of a derivation. This note discusses the question whether certain ∗-prime modules have a prime endomorphism ring. Several conditions are presented that guarantee the primeness of the endomorphism ring. The contours of a possible example of a ∗-prime module who...

We generalize the notion of identities among relations, well known for presentations of groups, to presentations of n-categories by polygraphs. To each polygraph, we associate a track n-category, generalizing the notion of crossed module for groups, in order to define the natural system of identities among relations. We relate the facts that this natural system is finitely generated and that th...

We consider valued fields with a distinguished isometry or contractive derivation as valued modules over the Ore ring of difference operators. Under certain assumptions on the residue field, we prove quantifier elimination first in the pure module language, then in that language augmented with a chain of additive subgroups, and finally in a two-sorted language with a valuation map. We apply qua...

Mason and Ng have given a generalization to semisimple quasiHopf algebras of Linchenko and Montgomery’s generalization to semisimple Hopf algebras of the classical Frobenius-Schur theorem for group representations. We give a simplified proof, in particular a somewhat conceptual derivation of the appropriate form of the Frobenius-Schur indicator that indicates if and in which of two possible fas...

Let A be an integral k-algebra of finite type over a field k of characteristic zero. Let F be a family of k-derivations on A and MF the A-module spanned by F . In this paper, we generalise a result due to A. Nowicki and construct an element ∂ of MF such that ker ∂ = ∩d∈Fker d. Such a derivation is called F-minimal. Then we establish a density theorem for F-minimal derivations in MF .
