A new drug KARI is unravelled in Ayurveda; it is botanically identified and equated with Canthium parciflorum Lamk. The intricacies involved in, Ayurveda for arriving at the identification are discussed in detail; a brief botanical description with a plate of the herbarium specimen are provided.
