In this paper we study the implications of the recent high precision measurement of (g−2)μ by BNL [1] on new heavy physics beyond the SM. The effect of two d=6 operators on the anomalous magnetic momment of the muon is considered and the new physics contribution to aμ reported by BNL has been used to put bounds on the scale associated with these operators.

New parameter free calculations including a variety of necessary kinematic and dynamic effects show that the results of BNL (p, 2p) measurements are consistent with the expectations of color transparency.
