Geospatial joins are a core building block of connected mobility applications. An especially challenging problem are joins between streaming points and static polygons. Since points are not known beforehand, they cannot be indexed. Nevertheless, points need to be mapped to polygons with low latencies to enable real-time feedback. We present an adaptive geospatial join that uses true hit filteri...

Partial knowledge about geospatial categories is critical for knowledge modelling in the geospatial domain but is beyond the scope of conventional ontologies. Degree of overlaps between geospatial categories, especially those based on geospatial actions concepts and geospatial enitity concepts need to be specified in ontologies. We present an approach to encode probabilistic information in geos...

Based on the Bezout approach we propose a simple algorithm to determine gcd of two polynomials that don't need division, like Euclidean algorithm, or determinant calculations, Sylvester matrix algorithm. The needs only n steps for degree n. Formal manipulations give discriminant resultant any without needing division calculation.

Aggregation and visualization of geographical data are an important part of environmental data mining, environmental modelling, and agricultural management. However, it is difficult to aggregate geospatial data of the various formats, such as maps, census and survey data. This paper presents a framework named PlaniSphere, which can aggregate the various geospatial datasets, and synthesizes raw ...

The need for integrating geospatial information (GI) data from various heterogeneous sources has seen increased importance for geographic information system (GIS) interoperability. Using domain ontologies to clarify and integrate the semantics of data is considered as a crucial step for successful semantic integration in the GI domain. Nevertheless, mechanisms are still needed to facilitate sem...
