Recently it was shown how one can reformulate the MPC problem for LPV systems to a series of mpLPs by a closed-loop minimax MPC algorithm based on dynamic programming. A relaxation technique is employed to reformulate constraints which are polynomial in the scheduling parameters to parameter-independent constraints. The algorithm allows the computation of explicit control laws for LPV systems a...
OBJECTIVE To examine the relationship between experienced mental workload and physiological response by noninvasive monitoring of physiological parameters. BACKGROUND Previous studies have examined how individual physiological measures respond to changes in mental demand and subjective reports of workload. This study explores the response of multiple physiological parameters and quantifies th...

Abstract In this paper we give a central limit theorem for the weighted quadratic variations process of a two-parameter Brownian motion. As an application, we show that the discretized quadratic variations [ns] i=1 [nt] j=1 |∆i,jY | of a twoparameter diffusion Y = (Y(s,t))(s,t)∈[0,1]2 observed on a regular grid Gn is an asymptotically normal estimator of the quadratic variation of Y as n goes t...
Respiratory variation in arterial pulse pressure (ΔPP) has been shown to be the most accurate predictor of fluid responsiveness in mechanically ventilated patients, with a predictive cutoff value of 13%. However, this dynamic parameter is invasive and not widely available. The pulse oximetry plethysmographic (POP) signal resembles the arterial pressure waveform in both shape and amplitude varia...

In this paper, we propose a discrepancy rule-based method to automatically choose the regularization parameters for total variation image restoration problems. The regularization parameters are adjusted dynamically in each iteration. Numerical results are shown to illustrate the performance of the proposed method. AMS subject classifications: 65K10, 68U10
In this paper, we have examined the effect of parameter variation on the electrical characteristics of a device. The rate of change in the electrical parameters such as cut off frequency, breakdown voltage and drain saturation current as a function of the process parameters is investigated Keywords—LDMOS, Process Parameters, characteristics, parameter variation.
Simulation of water and salt transfer in soil is very effective in managing optimal water and fertilizer use in the field. In this study, the HYDRUS-1D model was used to simulate the transfer of water and bromide in a laboratory column of soil with clay loam texture. Soil hydraulic parameters (including air entry point) α, (saturated hydraulic conductivity) ks, (residual moisture content) θr (s...
