We report on a technique for the radar ship signal extraction from contaminated sea clutter. Group normalization (GN) is presented to overcome that conventional wavelet packet coefficients not appropriately represent the strength of signal. The l entropy is extended to l one to improve the performance. The symmetric, complex wavelet packets are used for radar signal processing.
In this paper the echo signal of a moving pedestrian will be considered as an example of a velocity extended radar target.
