Intussusception is the most common cause of intestinal obstraction in children aged 3 months to 6 years. Complete understanding of its clinical and radiographic manifestations can play a major role in the early diagnosis and treatment and prevents its complications. In this study plain abdominal X-rays of 51 patients with intussusception were evaluated. Suggestive radiographic signs of the dise...
We report a case of a 50-year-old man with extensive metallosis 20 years after right total hip arthroplasty. CT demonstrated osteolysis and radiodense debris surrounding the right hip joint. Although the radiographic appearance of metallosis has been well documented in the literature, the CT appearance of metallosis after total hip arthroplasty has been only sparsely described.
Objective: To familiarize the practitioner and specialist with the usual false features noticed in routine radiographs taken prior to surgery so that complicated treatment could be avoided. Materials and Methods: All the cases reported for lower third molar surgery underwent routine radiographic evaluation such as Intra-oral X-ray and OPG (Orthopantomograph) to assess the severity and the surgi...
The purpose of this study was to determine the association between common clinical features in general practice, and chest radiographic findings among children with suspected bacterial or viral pneumonia. The study was prospective hospital-based carried out in Northern Thailand, from 2000 to 2001. One thousand three hundred ninety-six children under age five years admitted with suspected pneumo...
Abstract Background: Enchondroma, is the most frequent bone tumor of the hand , but chondrosarcoma is rare at this location .There is a high possibility of correct diagnosis of enchondroma and differentiating from its malignant counterpart by precise clinical and radiologic assessment without biopsy, a subject of debate in the literature . At the present study we substantially investigate this...

We report a detailed imaging investigation of the oculocerebrorenal syndrome (OCRS), or Lowe's syndrome. Our study includes the first detailed account of the cranial CT features, as well as the first MR imaging observations. A combination of soft-tissue and bony abnormalities may allow a specific radiographic separation of this disorder from other diseases causing the CT appearance of leukoence...
In the 1930s and 1940s the radioactive contrast material colloidal thorium dioxide (Thorotrast) was frequently used in radiographic examinations. The agent was used mainly for angiography and to a lesser extent for myelography, ventriculography, pyelography, and hepatolienography. The late clinical complications and conventional radiographic manifestations of thorium administration have been we...
