The relativistic KMS condition introduced by Bros and Buchholz provides a link between quantum statistical mechanics and quantum field theory. We show that for the P (φ)2 model at positive temperature, the two point function for fields satisfies the relativistic KMS condition.

The article is a natural continuation of the papers by Gavrilov and Gitman devoted to relativistic particle quantization. Here we generalize the problem, considering the quantization of a spinning particle in arbitrary gravitational background. The nontriviality of such a generalization is related to the necces-sity of solving complicated ordering problems. Similar to the flat space-time case, ...

As already known, Schrödinger equation is the most used equation to describe non-relativistic quantum systems. Its relativistic version was developed by Klein-Gordon and Dirac, but Schrödinger equation has wide applicability in particular because it resembles classical wave dynamics. For introduction to non-relativistic quantum mechanics, see [1]. Schrödinger equation begins with definition of ...

The phase shift due to the Sagnac Effect, for relativistic matter beams counter-propagating in a rotating interferometer, is deduced on the bases of a a formal analogy with the the Aharonov-Bohm effect. A procedure outlined by Sakurai, in which non relativistic quantum mechanics and newtonian physics appear together with some intrinsically relativistic elements, is generalized to a fully relati...

This paper is concerned with the possibility and nature of relativistic hidden-variable formulations of quantum mechanics. Both ad hoc teleological constructions of spacetime maps and frame-dependent constructions of spacetime maps are considered. While frame-dependent constructions are clearly preferable, they provide neither mechanical nor causal explanations for local quantum events. Rather,...

This note is an addendum to [9]. In that paper, I present a formalism for relativistic quantum mechanics in which the spacetime paths of particles are considered fundamental. These paths are parameterized by an invariant “fifth parameter” (in addition to the four coordinates of spacetime), which places the formalism within the class of “parameterized” or “worldline” approaches to quantum mechan...

Witten's non-relativistic formalism of supersymmetric quantum mechanics was based on a factorization and partnership between Schrödinger equations. We show how it accommodates a transition to the partnership between relativistic Klein-Gordon equations.

We analyze the restrictions on distinguishability of quantum states imposed by special relativity. An explicit expression relating the error probability for distinguishing between two orthogonal single-photon states to the time interval T between the beginning of the measurement procedure and the moment when the measurement result is obtained by the observer. Many problems of non-relativistic q...

We show that the experimental verification of Newtonian mechanics and of non-relativistic quantum mechanics do not imply that space is continuous. This provides evidence against the realist interpretation of the most mathematical parts of physics.
