This paper presents a FPGA-based multiprocessor system for the essential matrix estimation from a set of point correspondences containing outliers. The estimation is performed using two methods: the 8-point and the 5-point algorithm, and complemented with robust estimation. The description of the architecture and the hardware-specific design considerations are given. Performance and resource us...

Resource demands are a core aspect of performance models. They describe how an operation utilizes a resource and therefore influence the systems performance metrics: response time, resource utilization and throughput. Such demands can be determined by two extraction classes: direct measurement or demand estimation. Selecting the best suited technique depends on available tools, acceptable measu...

Mineral resource estimation involves the determination of grade and tonnage a mineral deposit based on its geological characteristics using various methods. Conventional methods, such as geometric geostatistical techniques, remain most widely used methods for estimation. However, recent advances in computer algorithms have allowed researchers to explore potential machine learning techniques Thi...

-This paper presents an overview of resource optimization approach for transmission system maintenance selection and scheduling. The approach is based on failure rate estimation and risk reduction calculation followed by resource optimization. It also presents probabilistic models developed for circuit breakers and power transformers. An effort is made to quantify the effect of maintenance usin...

This paper shows that a method that has long been used to solve Resource Constrained Optimization Problems and found extremely effective in practice, is effective in the theoretical sense as well, it is proved to be strongly polynomial. In the special case of Resource Constrained Shortest Path Problem a better running time estimation is also presented.
