Harary [8] calls a finite, simple graph G a sum graph if one can assign to each vi ∈ V (G) a label xi so that {vi, vj} ∈ E(G) iff xi + xj = xk for some k. We generalize this notion by replacing “xi + xj” with an arbitrary symmetric polynomial f(xi, xj). We show that for each f , not all graphs are “f -graphs”. Furthermore, we prove that for every f and every graph G we can transform G into an f...

A graph is said to be a sum graph if there exists a set S of positive integers as its node set, with two nodes adjacent whenever their sum is in S. An integral sum graph is defined just as the sum graph, the difference being that S is a subset of 2~ instead of N*. The sum number of a given graph G is defined as the smallest number of isolated nodes which when added to G result in a sum graph. T...

a concept related to the spectrum of a graph is that of energy. the energy e(g) of a graph g is equal to the sum of the absolute values of the eigenvalues of the adjacency matrix of g . the laplacian energy of a graph g is equal to the sum of distances of the laplacian eigenvalues of g and the average degree d(g) of g. in this paper we introduce the concept of laplacian energy of fuzzy graphs. ...

The notion of the b-chromatic number of a graph attracted much research interests and recently a new concept, namely the b-chromatic sum of a graph, denoted by (G), has also been introduced. Motivated by the studies on b-chromatic sum of graphs, in this paper we introduce certain new parameters such as -chromatic sum, -chromatic sum, b-chromatic sum, -chromatic sum and -chromatic sum of graphs....

As an analogous concept of a nowhere-zero flow for directed graphs, we consider zero-sum flows for undirected graphs in this article. For an undirected graph G, a zero-sum flow is an assignment of nonzero integers to the edges such that the sum of the values of all edges incident with each vertex is zero, and we call it a zero-sum k-flow if the values of edges are less than k. We define the zer...

The stress of a vertex is node centrality index, which has been introduced by Shimbel (1953). in graph the number geodesics (shortest paths) passing through it. In this paper, we introduce new topological index for graphs called square root sum using stresses vertices. Further, establish some inequalities, prove results and compute stress-sum standard graphs.
