This paper presents a complete end-to-end framework to generate automatic message-passing code for tiled iteration spaces. It considers general parallelepiped tiling transformations and general convex iteration spaces. We aim to address all problems concerning data parallel code generation efficiently by transforming the initial non-rectangular tile to a rectangular one. In this way, data distr...

The bathrooms were assumed as locations for presence of various classes of society in the past time and walls of baths were decorated with motley tiles and various designs. The human designs drawn on these tiles are deemed as one of the most conspicuous elements that reflect social, cultural, and artistic conditions in community These motifs with various themes and ways of different design had ...

background: respiratory diseases cause a considerable amount of morbidity and mortality in the world. pulmonary function tests are important measures for the diagnosis and management of respiratory disorders. workers in tile and ceramic industry are exposed to high amounts of respiratory pollutants. objective: to identify the changes in spirometric parameters in a 2-year period among tile and c...

While the theoretical implications of models of DNA tile self-assembly have been extensively researched and such models have been used to design DNA tile systems for use in experiments, there has been little research testing the fundamental assumptions of those models. In this paper, we use direct observation of individual tile attachments and detachments of two DNA tile systems on a mica surfa...

PURPOSE This study was performed to determine the optimal tile size for the fractal dimension of the mandibular trabecular bone using a tile counting method. MATERIALS AND METHODS Digital intraoral radiographic images were obtained at the mandibular angle, molar, premolar, and incisor regions of 29 human dry mandibles. After preprocessing, the parameters representing morphometric characterist...

Experiments have demonstrated that DNA molecules can compute like a machine to solve mathematical problems, which is significant because of their parallel computation ability. However, due to the nature of biochemical reactions, DNA computation suffers from errors, which are its main limitation. The abstract and kinetic Tile Assembly Models are now commonly used to simulate real DNA computing e...

We discuss the self-assembly system of triangular tiles instead of square tiles, in particular right triangular tiles and equilateral triangular tiles. We show that the triangular tile assembly system, either deterministic or non-deterministic, has the same power to the square tile assembly system in computation, which is Turing universal. By providing counter-examples, we show that the triangu...

I) UVAL’S EXAMINATION by thermal gravimetry of nearly 1000 chemical precipitates (1) had suggested to one of us the employment of thermal methods in the analysis of concretions of biologic origin. Indeed, use of the thermogravimetric technic was made in conjunction with infrared spectrophotometry (2) and X-ray crystallography (3) in investigations concerning tile formation mechanism of renal tr...

This paper discusses ongoing research into the construction of action adventure maps akin to those found within classic Nintendo series The Legend of Zelda. Following existing work in the composition of missions and spaces for the action-adventure genre, this work adopts these methods into a open-source 2D tile-based game with similar mechanics and tropes to that of the Zelda series.
