Thermophilic spore-forming bacteria are a common cause of contamination in dairy products. We isolated the thermophilic strain Geobacillus thermoglucosidans TNO-09.020 from a milk processing plant and report the complete genome of a dairy plant isolate consisting of a single chromosome of 3.75 Mb.

In this paper, we describe the TNO approach to the Finding Related Resources or linking task of VideoCLEF09. Our system consists of a weighted combination of off-theshelf and proprietary modules, including the Wikipedia Miner toolkit of the University of Waikato. Using this cocktail of largely off-the-shelf technology allows for setting a baseline for future approaches to this task.

The purposes of classification and taxonomy are reviewed. Using examples from fields ranging from paleontology to planetology, I argue that non-exclusive classifications, which allow Pluto to be considered both a planet and a TNO, provide the most desirable approach to progress in our science.
