In Real-Time Strategy (RTS) games, players develop an army in real time, then attempt to take out one or more opponents. Despite the existence of basic similarities among the many di erent RTS games, engines of these games are often built ad hoc, and code re-use among di erent titles is minimal. We created a design pattern called Resource Entity Action (REA) that abstracts the basic interaction...

BACKGROUND Midportion Achilles tendinopathy (AT) can cause long-term absence from sports participation, and shows high recurrence rates. It is important that the decision to return to sport (RTS) is made carefully, based on sharply delimited criteria. Lack of a well-defined definition and criteria hampers the decision to RTS among athletes with AT, and impedes comparison of RTS rates between di...

We analyse a large database of psychometrically derived financial risk tolerance scores (RTS) and associated demographic information. We find that people’s selfassessed risk tolerance generally accords with RTS. Further we find that gender, age, number of dependents, marital status, income and wealth are significantly related to the RTS. Notably, the relationship between age and risk tolerance ...

BACKGROUND Demand for respiratory care services and staffing levels of respiratory therapists (RTs) is expected to increase over the next several years. Hence, RT job satisfaction will be a critical factor in determining recruitment and retention of RTs. Determinants of RT job satisfaction measures have received little attention in the literature. This study examines the use of respiratory care...

In the study of LF noise in MOSFETS, it has become clear that Random Telegraph Signals (RTS) are dominant. When a MOSFET is subjected to large-signal excitation, the RTS noise is influenced. In this paper, we present different visualizations of the transient behaviour of the RTS. Keywords— MOSFET, Random Telegraph Signal, Large Signal Excitation, LF Noise.

Based upon reverse transcription and polymerase chain reaction results with human KB cell RNA, a cDNA (i.e., 3'rTS1, 1557 nt) with complementarity to thymidylate synthase mRNA was cloned and sequenced. Northern blot analysis showed that 3'rTS1 corresponded to a cytoplasmic 1.8 kb RNA found in several tumor cell lines. The remaining 5'region of this antisense RNA was cloned by a RACE (Rapid Ampl...

Subjects read narratives describing directions of objects around a standing or reclimng observer, who was periodically reoriented. RTs were measured to identify which object was currently located beyond the observer's head, feet, front, back, fight, and left. When the observer was standing, head/feet RTs were fastest, followed by front/back and then right/left. For the reclining observer, front...

Rothmund-Thomson syndrome (RTS) is a rare dermatosis with about 300 cases reported to date. The authors describe two siblings with RTS and inflammatory conjunctival disease featuring fornix shortening and symblepharon as well as palpebral disease with sparse eyelashes. These cases demonstrate RTS ocular surface findings different to those usually described.

BACKGROUND MRI is frequently used in addition to clinical evaluation for predicting time to return to sport (RTS) after acute hamstring injury. However, the additional value of MRI to patient history taking and clinical examination remains unknown and is debated. AIM To prospectively investigate the predictive value of patient history and clinical examination at baseline alone and the additio...
