We investigate nonfactorizable contributions to ππ → D decay modes. We perform isospin analysis of the nonfactorizable contributions to these decays. Obtaining the factorizable contributions from spectator-quark diagrams using 3 = C N , we determine nonfactorizable amplitudes for these decays and predict their branching ratios. Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) suffers from a high peak to average power ratio (PAPR). Tone reservation (TR) technology is considered as one of the most promising methods because of no additional distortion, no side information, and low implementation cost. However, in all PAPR reduction schemes, determining the optimal target clipping level is difficult. In this paper, we con...

–The high peak-to-average-power-ratio (PAPR) of OFDM systems introduces inevitable nonlinear distortion in the transmitter and reduces the performance dramatically. In this paper we propose a novel scheme to reduce the PAPR with an adaptive dynamic range companding (ADRC) technique. Based on the examination of the distribution of OFDM signal amplitude, reduction of the PAPR is achieved by using...

In this paper, we propose a new selected mapping (SLM) scheme for reducing peak to average power ratio (PAPR) of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) signals modulated with quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM), called amplitude and phase variant SLM (APSLM). Contrary to the conventional SLM which rotates the phases of QAM symbols in the frequency domain, the proposed scheme change...

The concept of orthonormal polynomials is revisited by developing a Zernike-based orthonormal set for a non-circular pupil that is transmitting an aberrated, non-uniform field. We refer to this pupil as a general pupil. The process is achieved by using the matrix form of the Gram-Schmidt procedure on Zernike circle polynomials and is interpreted as a process of balancing each Zernike circle pol...

Abstract In this paper, for steel pipe members with a slenderness ratio of 120, spoilers different numbers and spacings are arranged to test the vibration reduction effect. Wind tunnel results show that 7 sets size 1D×0.5D can basically suppress member. When spoiler spacing is 1D~4D, maximum amplitude more than 90%.

We determine the specific heat amplitude ratio near a m-axial Lifshitz point and show its universal character. Using a recent renormalization group picture along with new field-theoretical ǫL-expansion techniques, we established this amplitude ratio at one-loop order. We estimate the numerical value of this amplitude ratio for m = 1 and d = 3. The result is in very good agreement with its exper...

Results of a numerical study on the finite amplitude global perturbations inducing transition to turbulence in pipe flow are reported. The aim of this analysis is to characterise the basin of attraction of the basic Hagen-Poiseuille flow (which is believed to be lineary stable for all Reynolds numbers Re) by means of the minimal amplitude of an initial global perturbation triggering transition....
