Sequential press forming of thin sheets is a method in which different locations within single workpiece are pressed sequence, and used to manufacture large structures, such as storage tanks. In the sequential forming, it important estimate bending-defect areas efficiently because product shape can be corrected not by repairing dies but only re-pressing subsequent process. At present, high skil...
Calcium entry through a plasma membrane defect leads to the local recruitment of endosomal complex required for transport (ESCRT) proteins. These proteins are hypothesized to drive an outward bending of the affected plasma membrane, forming a small bud that is then shed from the cell, along with the troublesome defect.
In this study, the joining of porous aluminum by roll forming was attempted. Two precursors were foamed heat treatment, and softened immediately after foaming roll-formed. It shown that simultaneously formed joined while maintaining structure aluminum. results four-point bending test samples, pores observed at fracture surfaces, indicating strong can be achieved forming. addition, it found opti...
This paper addresses the bending behaviour of individual multi-filament yarns for use in textile forming analyses. Yarn specimens deform nonlinearly under their own weight in a cantilever configuration. A relation between the applied moment and the resulting curvature is established. Numerical simulations are performed to establish the contribution of shear rigidity to the deflection.

Forming limit curves (FLCs) are important to predict failure against biaxial deformation in sheet metal forming. Particularly crucial is the detection and evaluation of stable/instable transition which indicates necking ultimately leads rupture. In past, it has been observed that specific processes, particular free-form bending might not be predicted well by conventionally evaluated FLCs, i.e. ...
This work focuses on application of the laser forming process to NiTi shape memory alloys. While all NiTi shape memory alloys exhibit both superlasticity and the shape memory effect, this study is restricted to a temperature range over which only the superelastic effect will be active. Specifically, this work addresses laser forming induced macroscopic bending deformations, post process residua...
