A novel method to realize stopband within the operating frequency of spoof surface plasmon polaritons (SPPs) is presented. The stopband is introduced by a new kind of capacitive-coupled series spoof SPPs. Two conventional H-shaped unit cells are proposed to construct a new unit cell, and every two new unit cells are separated by a gap with certain distance, which is designed to implement capaci...

OBJECTIVES Direct current, capacitive coupling, and inductive coupling are modes of electrical stimulation (ES) used to enhance bone healing. It is important to assess the effectiveness of ES for bone healing to ensure optimization for clinical practice. This review aims to examine the level of evidence (LOE) for the application of ES to enhance bone healing and investigate the proposed mechani...

We present the results of hardware experiments designed to determine the relative contribution of CMOS coupling mechanisms to off-path signal variations caused by common types of defects. The transient signals measured in defect-free test structures coupled to defective test structures through internodal coupling capacitors, the power supply, the well and substrate are analyzed in the time and ...

A novel ultra wideband band (UWB) bandpass filter is developed using ground plane aperture technique for enhancement of the capacitive coupling in the parallelcoupled microstrip line (PCML). The PCML with two external lines is characterized by an equivalent J-inverter network with its susceptance and the two electrical line lengths.

We have investigated the noise properties of the tunneling current through vertically coupled self-assembled InAs quantum dots. We observe super-Poissonian shot noise at low temperatures. For increased temperature this effect is suppressed. The super-Poissonian noise is explained by capacitive coupling between different stacks of quantum dots.

In this paper, we present an evaluation of the impact of bit line (BL) coupling on the faulty behavior of an SRAM cell in the presence of specific data in the neighborhood cells. In a nutshell, we tackle the following problem: given a defective SRAM cell with parasitic coupling effects, where the parasitic effect is capacitive, determine specifically the influential open defects, the impact of ...

Tattoo electronics is one of the emerging technologies in skin compliant biosensing. The growing interest their large application health monitoring raises several interrogations on how these sensors interface with skin. In this paper, bioimpedance at and ultra-conformable tattoo electrodes made conducting polymers are focused on. electrochemical characteristics differ from traditional gelled Ag...
