Vascular lesions rise from abnormalities in blood vessels or endothelial proliferation. Capillary hemangiomas are formed by small capillaries surrounded by a layer of endothelial cells in a connective tissue stroma. Various treatments are used for these conditions like excisional surgery, sclerotherapy, and recently laser irradiation. In this case study, we report successful treatment of intrao...

Superficial spreading capillary hemangioma has been described for the first and sole time by Mihara and collaborators in 1986, as a proliferation of capillaries in the dermal papillae, separated by thin elongated rete ridges. Clinically it appeared as an asymptomatic, isolated, small and long-standing red plaque of slow growth located in the plantar surface of a 57-year-old Japanese woman. We r...

Intratesticular vascular neoplasms are extremely rare tumors and mostly seen in children or young adults. We reported a case of capillary hemangioma of the testis to attract attention to testicular hemangioma and also to prevent invasive surgery of the testis. The patient was an 18-year-old boy with a testicular mass. Scrotal sonography revealed a varicocele in the left testis and a simple cyst...

Hemangiomas are benign tumors of the capillary endothelium involved in varied clinical and pathologic entities. Congenital hemangioma is quite rare compared to infantile hemangioma. Hemangiomas rarely occur in bone. Intraosseous hemangiomas are most commonly found in the vertebral column and skull. The mandible is the most frequently affected skull bone. Intraosseous hemangiomas commonly presen...

Capillary hemangiomas are benign vascular neoplasms. When associated with the spine, these growths frequently involve the vertebral body, but rarely have they been reported to occur as intradural lesions, while even more rarely occurring in a true intramedullary location. We report a rare case of an intramedullary capillary hemangioma of the thoracic spinal cord and a review of the literature.

Hemangiomas are benign tumors most frequently seen in childhood and are mostly associated with cutaneous and mucosal surfaces. Tracheal capillary hemangiomas are extremely rare. The most common presenting symptom is hemoptysis, ranging from minor to major and chronic cough. We present the case of a 12-year-old boy with recurrent hemoptysis due to tracheal capillary hemangioma, who was treated w...

Capillary hemangiomas, hamartomatous proliferation of vascular endothelial cells, are rare in the central nervous system (CNS). Intracranial capillary hemangiomas presenting with reversible behavioral abnormalities and focal neurological deficits have rarely been reported. We report a case of CNS capillary hemangioma presenting with transient focal neurological deficits and behavioral abnormali...

CLINICAL CASE A 2-months-old girl had a fast growth hemangioma in the left side of the face, that involved upper eyelid and superior and external portion of the orbit, covering her visual axis and pushing the eye and lateral rectus muscle. We gave oral propranolol as treatment and we noticed a fast and constant hemangioma reduction and resolution of orbital and palpebral component. DISCUSSION...

Background. LCH is a benign vascular growth of the skin and mucous membranes commonly affecting the head and neck. Since it was first described in the nineteenth century, this entity has been variously known as "human botryomycosis" and "pyogenic granuloma." The shifting nomenclature reflects an evolving understanding of the underlying pathogenesis. We review the histopathology of and current e...
