Multiple choice questions are a convenient and popular means of testing beginning students in programming courses. However, they are qualitatively different from exam questions. This excellent atlas illustrates clearly the fact that in echocardiography, to a much greater extent than in electrocardiography, the knowledge and skill of the person making the recordings determines the usefulness of the recordings themselves. With poor recording technique vital information may be missed or misleading records obtained. This is rightly stressed at the beginning of Salcedo's At...

This paper describes and evaluates DQGen, which automatically generates multiple choice cloze questions to test a child’s comprehension while reading a given text. In this paper we wish to illustrate different perspectives used to create Multiple-Choice questions and we will show how we can improve these in the construction of math tests. As it is known, web technologies have a great influence on student’s behaviour. Based on an on-line project beginning at 2007 which has been contributing to help students on their individual work, we would like to share ...

The questions are divided up into groups by systems or diseases, and within each group five different types of test are presented. Medical students (certainly local ones) might have difficulty using the book, as the level of pharmacological information required is often greater than that expected of them, and selective use is not possible. However, it should provide a stimulus to teachers to co...

The present study was conducted to investigate whether forced-choice questions would lead to any particular tendency in young children’s responses. Consistent findings were obtained: (i) Forced-choice questions influenced children’s resp...
