A ring is called n-perfect (n ≥ 0), if every flat module has projective dimension less or equal than n. In this paper, we show that the n-perfectness relate, via homological approach, some homological dimension of rings. We study n-perfectness in some known ring constructions. Finally, several examples of n-perfect rings satisfying special conditions are given.

This paper presents AsdeCopas, a module designed to interface syntax and semantics. AsdeCopas is based on hierarchically organised semantic rules, that output formulas in a flat language. In this paper, we show how this system can be used in the following applications: a) semantic disambiguation; b) logical formulas construction (in Minimal Recursion Semantics); c) question interpretation.

This study focused on phase separation of activated sludge mixed liquor by flat-sheet membranes of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). A 20 liter working volume lab-scale MBR incorporating immersed PTFE flat-sheet membrane modules with different pore sizes (0.3, 0.5 and 1.0 μm) was operated for 19 days treating a synthetic wastewater. The experiment was interrupted twice at days 5 and 13 when the m...

A p-indigent module is one that subprojective only to projective modules. An RD-projective any torsionfree (and flat) module. $T$ called rdp-indigent if it In this work, we consider the structure of SRDP rings whose (simple) right $R$-modules are or torsionfree. Moreover, new characterizations P-coherent and presented by subprojectivity domains.

Emerging classes of concentrator photovoltaic (CPV) modules reach efficiencies that are far greater than those of even the highest performance flat-plate PV technologies, with architectures that have the potential to provide the lowest cost of energy in locations with high direct normal irradiance (DNI). A disadvantage is their inability to effectively use diffuse sunlight, thereby constraining...

Recently, the possibility of white noise generation from chaotic PLL has been shown on the basis of numerical simulation. In this paper we demonstrate chaos with the nature of white noise experimentally by using a popular PLL-IC module 4046. This hardware implementation is very easy to handle and many flat power spectra have been obtained at the input of VCO.

To utilize the high mass fraction of silicon material in a nanosatellite based on microelectro-mechanical systems, part of the structural function has been assigned to the flat silicon stacks embracing these systems. Three modules for destructive testing in bending, warping and shearing cases were built with 68x68x1 mm silicon stacks bonded in aluminium frames by in-situ casting of silicone rub...

Let (R, m) and (S, n) be commutative Noetherian local rings, and let φ : R→ S be a flat local homomorphism such that mS = n and the induced map on residue fields R/m→ S/n is an isomorphism. Given a finitely generated R-module M , we show that M has an S-module structure compatible with the given R-module structure if and only if Ext R (S,M) = 0 for each i ≥ 1. We say that an S-module N is exten...

The present study considers steady laminar two-dimensional incompressible flow over both in-line and staggered flat tube bundles used in heat exchanger applications. The effects of various independent parameters, such as Reynolds number (Re), Prandtl number (Pr), length ratio (L=Da), and height ratio (H=Da), on the pressure drop and heat transfer were studied. A finite-volume-based FORTRAN code...
