The focus of this paper is the implementation of web-based data platforms for CAAD research and education. This review is based on three case studies that use different software environments for the creation of the specified data platforms: eCAADe/FileMakerdatabases, ACADIA/CAMEO-WebObjects environment and SciX/WODA-language.
