We have obtained maps of the large scale outflow associated with the UCHII region G5.89-0.39 in CO and CO (J=3-2), SiO (J=8-7,J=5-4), SO2 (J=132,12131,13) and H CO(J=4-3). From these maps we have been able to determine the mass (3.3 M⊙), momentum (96 M⊙ km s ), energy (3.5× 10 erg), mechanical luminosity (141 L⊙), and mass loss rate (∼ 1× 10 −3 M⊙ yr ) in the large scale outflow. The observatio...

Purpose Cromakalim prodrug 1 (CKLP1) is a water-soluble ATP-sensitive potassium channel opener that has shown ocular hypotensive properties in ex vivo and in vivo experimental models. To determine its mechanism of action, we assessed the effect of CKLP1 on aqueous humor dynamics and in combination therapy with existing ocular hypotensive agents. Methods Outflow facility was assessed in C57BL/...

We present a detailed study of a molecular outflow feature in the nearby starburst galaxy NGC 253 using ALMA. We find that this feature is clearly associated with the edge of NGC 253ʼs prominent ionized outflow, has a projected length of ∼300 pc, with a width of ∼50 pc, and a velocity dispersion of ∼40 km s, which isconsistent with an ejection from the disk about 1 Myr ago. The kinematics of t...

Neural crest-specific ablation of BMP type IA receptor (BMPRIA) causes embryonic lethality by embryonic day (E) 12.5, and this was previously postulated to arise from a myocardial defect related to signaling by a small population of cardiac neural crest cells (cNCC) in the epicardium. However, as BMP signaling via cNCC is also required for proper development of the outflow tract cushions, precu...

Several strategies for mapping ventricular outflow tract tachycardia have been reported as useful indices for differentiating between those originating from the right and the left side. Recently, tissue tracking imaging (TTI) has been demonstrated as a novel non-invasive modality for identifying the origin of outflow tract tachycardias. Tissue tracking imaging is an ultrasonographic technique t...

During recent years, worldwide concern has been focused on the potential for contamination of surface waters and ground waters by agrochemicals in runoff and soil water from irrigated fields. Given this perspective, it is very important to correctly evaluate the levels of different agrochemicals in water, both from human toxicological and environmental viewpoints and to develop management strat...

OBJECTIVE To prospectively determine whether ventricular rate and regularity are significant determinants of the velocity and magnitude of left atrial appendage (LAA) flow. DESIGN AND PATIENTS 12 patients with atrial fibrillation (AF), high degree atrioventricular block, and indwelling permanent pacemakers were studied. SETTING Cardiology department of a tertiary referral centre. INTERVEN...

We present new high spatial resolution Karl G. Jansky Very Large Array (VLA) HI absorption and Very Long Baseline Array (VLBA) continuum observations of the Active Galactic Nucleus (AGN)driven molecular outflow candidate NGC 1266. Although other well-known systems with molecular outflows may be driven by star formation in a central molecular disk, the molecular mass outflow rate reported in Ala...

Objective This study compared the rates of aqueous-humor flow and trabecular outflow in eyes that had undergone YAG laser iridotomy (LI) for primary-acute-angleclosure (PAC) attack and primary-angle-closure suspect (PACS). Methods Patients who had PAC attack in one eye and narrow occludable angles (PACS) in the other eye that had undergone YAG LI were recruited. All underwent complete ophthalmo...
