Abstract Background Plant growth regulators are widely used in agriculture for increasing the and ripening of plants, but they endanger aquatic ecosystem. The current study assessed effect sublethal exposure to RIPEX 48% EC concentrations (8 16 µL/L) on oxidative stress parameters, sex hormones, immune potential enzymes, differential hemocyte counts, histopathology digestive glands ovotestis Bi...
abstract confused flour beetle, tribolium confusum duval (col.: tenebrionidae) is one of the most important stored product pests of flour in iran. in this research the effects of insect growth regulators (igrs): teflubenzuron, hexaflumuron and pyriproxyfen were studied on larval and imago nutritional indices of confused flour beetle. the results showed that they were more effective on relative ...
The plant growth regulator BM was formulated to stimulate seed production and fruit growth. In this study, it was hypothesized that the addition of BM would increase levels of polyamines for seed induction and have a direct benefit of improving fertilization and seed set in cotton. This benefit may enhance yield under extreme environmental conditions when endogenous polyamines content is reduced.
In Arabidopsis, RPM1 confers resistance against Pseudomonas syringae expressing either of two sequence unrelated type III effectors, AvrRpm1 or AvrB. An RPM1-interacting protein (RIN4) coimmunoprecipitates from plant cell extracts with AvrB, AvrRpm1, or RPM1. Reduction of RIN4 protein levels inhibits both the hypersensitive response and the restriction of pathogen growth controlled by RPM1. RIN...
The phytohormone auxin has been known to be a regulator of plant growth and development ever since its discovery. Recent studies on plant-pathogen interactions identify auxin as a key character in pathogenesis and plant defense. Like plants, diverse pathogens possess the capacity to synthesize indole-3-acetic acid (IAA), the major form of auxin in plants. The emerging knowledge on auxin-signali...
Abstract: In order to Investe spraying by Plant Growth Promoting Bacteria (PGPB) and their metabolits on morphophysio-logical indices, qualitative indices and yield in Hashemi cultivar of rice, an experiment was arranged based on completely randomized block design with four replications in the greenhouse of the faculty of Agricultural Sci-ences in The University of Guilan in 2010. In...
