The asymmetry in the energy spectra between mirror nuclei (the Thomas-Ehrman shifts) around 16 O is investigated from a phenomeno-logical viewpoint. The recent data on proton-rich nuclei indicates that the residual nuclear interaction is reduced for the loosely bound s-orbit by as much as 30%, which originates in the broad radial distribution of the proton single-particle wave function.

The relativistic Dirac equation under spin symmetry is investigated for generalized Morse potential. We calculated the eigenvalues and the corresponding wave function by using the Nikiforov-Uvarov method. We also discussed two special cases: attractive radial and Deng-Fan potentials. We have also reported some numerical results and figures to show the effect of tensor interaction.

This paper presents a novel technique which may be used to determine an appropriate threshold for interpreting the outputs of a trained Radial Basis Function (RBF) classifier. Results from two experiments demonstrate that this method can be used to improve the performance of RBF classifiers in practical applications.
