معادله ی حالت و فشار ماده ی هسته ای را در دمای معین، با استفاده از چند پتانسیل اِسکرم بدست آوردیم. رفتار پتانسیل های ski3، skm* و sly6 تقریباً یکسان و با تجربه سازگار است. در حالی که پتانسیل های skp، bsk1 و ski4 به ناپایداری در ماده ی نوترونی قطبیده منجر می شوند. به همین دلیل پتانسیل های مناسبی در محاسبات مربوط به اخترفیزیک نیستند.
