Operator exposure to high levels of whole-body vibration (WBV) presents risks to health and safety and it is reported to worsen or even cause back injuries. Work activities resulting in operator exposure to whole-body vibration have a common onset in off-road work such as farming. Despite the wide variability of agricultural surface profiles, studies have shown that with changing soil profile a...

Trailer reversing is a problem frequently considered in the literature, usually with fairly complex non-linear control theory based approaches. In this paper, we overview our simple method for stabilizing a tractor-trailer system to a trajectory based on the notion of controlling the hitch-angle of the trailer rather than the steering angle of the tractor. The performance of this control method...

In this article we describe the formulation of null geodesics as null conformal geodesics and their description in the tractor formalism. A conformal extension theorem through an isotropic singularity is proven by requiring the boundedness of the tractor curvature and its derivatives to sufficient order along a congruence of null conformal geodesic. This article extends earlier work by Tod and ...

There is a well known one–parameter family of left invariant CR structures on SU(2) ∼= S. We show how purely algebraic methods can be used to explicitly compute the canonical Cartan connections associated to these structures and their curvatures. We also obtain explicit descriptions of tractor bundles and tractor connections.

We present an extensive study of lithium abundances in dwarf components of chromospherically active binary stars (CABS). Since most of these binaries have known radii, masses and ages, this kind of data is especially useful for comparisons with theoretical models which try to explain the Li depletion phenomenon. We show that a significant part of these stars have clear Li overabundances with re...

Abstract Patients who have clinical evidence of hypertension (HT) after coronary artery bypass surgery (CABS) a poor prognosis in expression acute myocardial infarction (AMI), as one the MACE. Unrelieved anxiety can produce an increase sympathetic nervous system activity leading to cardiac workload. The purpose this study was evaluate effectiveness music therapy on patients with HT and AMI, CAB...

BACKGROUND American Indian communities have a high prevalence of chronic diseases including diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular disease, and cancer. Innovative community-based approaches are needed to identify, prioritize, and create sustainable interventions to reduce environmental barriers to healthy lifestyles and ultimately improve health. COMMUNITY CONTEXT Healthy Children, Strong Families...

The WRKY genes are one of the largest families transcription factors (TFs) and play a crucial role in certain processes plants including stress signaling, regulation transcriptional reprogramming associated with responses, other regulatory networks. This study aims to investigate gene family C3 model plant, Oryza sativa L., using genome-wide silico expression analysis. Firstly, 104 TF members w...

We have developed a fully flexible docking method that uses a reduced lattice representation of protein molecules, adapted for modeling peptide ligand — protein complexes. The CABS model (Carbon Alpha, Carbon Beta, Side Group) employed here was initially designed for single-chain protein folding, and performed well in many applications [Kolinski & Bujnicki, 2005]. Instead of full-atomic protein...
