This paper presents the solution of environmental/ economic dispatch (EED) problem by using a multiobjective bees algorithm (MBA) with clustering technique. EED problem is to minimize simultaneously the total fuel cost and environmental pollution of generation while satisfying various constrains. The MBA is modified from Bees Algorithm in order to solve EED problem through compromised fuzzy and...

This paper a Multi-objective Honey Bee Mating Optimization (MOHBMO) is proposed for Environmental/ Economic Power Dispatch (EED) problem. This paper proposes a new environmental/economic load dispatch model that considers cost and emission function coefficients with uncertainties and the constraints of ramp rate. Due to the environmental concerns that arise from the emissions produced via fossi...

Particle swarm optimization (PSO) has received increasing attention in solving multi-objective economic dispatch (ED) problems in power systems because of parallel computation, faster convergence, and easier implementation. This paper presents a detailed overview of multi-objective particle swarm optimization (MOPSO) and provides a comprehensive survey on its applications in power system econom...

The economic load dispatch (ELD) is one of the most important optimization problems from the view point of power system to derive optimal economy. Classically, it is to Identify the optimal combination of generation level of all generating units which minimizes the total fuel cost while satisfying the load. This classical ELD formulation has been solved by various methods like Lagrange method, ...

Economic load dispatch is one of the main functions of electrical power management systems. The main objective of economic load dispatch is to minimize the fuel cost while satisfying the required equality and inequality constraints. Economic Load Dispatch is a well known problem and has been a major concern for researchers and industrialists all around the world. The problem consists of divisio...

In this research a multi-objective Imperialist Competitive Algorithm (MOICA) is applied for Environmental and Economic Power Dispatch (EED) problem. Due to the environmental concerns that arise from the emissions produced via fossil-fueled electric power plants, the classical economic dispatch, which operates electric power systems so as to minimize only the total fuel cost, can no longer be co...

The main purpose of this research is to determine the generation quantity of each generator in a power system. In this way, not only will the electricity demanded by the system be supplied, but the cost of fuel along with the level of pollution can be minimized. Obviously, calculation of the optimal layout of power plants with the aim of minimizing fuel costs and pollutants level contributes to...

dynamic economic load dispatch is one of the most important roles of power generation’s operation and control. it determines the optimal controls of production of generator units with predicted load demand over a certain period of time. economic dispatch at minimum production cost is one of the most important subjects in the power network’s operation, which is a complicated nonlinear constraine...

In this paper, Hopfield Neural Network (HNN) and Lagrange Multiplier (LM) solutions to economic dispatch (ED), NOx emission dispatch (EmD), and economic-emission dispatch (EED) of a sample system consisting of six thermal generators are presented. Transmission losses are included. The results of HNN are compared with the results of LM.
