Fibrolipoma is characterized by the presence of prominent bundles of mature fibrous tissue traversing the fatty lobules. We present a case of a pathologically-proven fibrolipoma arising in the right ring finger of a 66-year-old female. Physical examination showed a 2-cm, soft, mobile, nontender mass. Neurovascular examinations including Tinel sign were normal. Plain radiographs revealed a well-...

Lipomas are common benign soft tissue neoplasms derived from mature adipose tissue. However, they rarely arise in the oral cavity. Fibrolipoma is a histological variant of lipoma that mainly affects the buccal mucosa and causes functional and cosmetic issues. This article describes the case of a 71-year-old male with a fibrolipoma of the left buccal mucosa and a review of previous articles abou...

Fibrolipoma, an infrequent histological subtype of lipoma, is considered a benign mesenchymal neoplasm. Fibrolipoma of the scrotum is an even more rare entity. We report a case of a 55-year-old male complaining for a slow-growing, painless mass in his left hemis-crotum. Imaging with ultrasonography and magnetic resonance imaging was inconclusive regarding the nature of the tumor and the tumor w...

INTRODUCTION Fibrolipoma, a subtype of lipoma is painless, well-circumscribed, slow-growing, submucosal benign adipocyte tumour. It is uncommon in the oral cavity and oropharyngeal region, with rare incidence in the retropharynx even rarest in pediatric age group. CASE REPORT A very unusual case of fibrolipoma is presented in a pediatric patient, who had a huge retropharyngeal fibrolipoma and...

It is usually encountered in a subdermal location and uncommonly involves the alimentary tract. This letter to editor describes a gastric submucosal mass which was ultimately diagnosed of fibrolipoma.

The purpose of this study was to determine the clinicopathological and immunohistochemical features of lipoma/fibrolipoma with rare occasions as osseous and/or chondroid differentiation in the oral cavity. Two cases of the tumors, who presented with a painless, relatively hard mass on the oral mucosa, were studied. These were consisted of a well-circumscribed mass of fatty tissue with chondroid...
