A new pulsating X-ray source, AX J183220−0840, with a 1549.1-s period was discovered at R.A.= 18h32m20s and Dec.= −84030 (J2000, uncertainty= 0.6) during an

The scientific sound definition of measures to achieve the goals of the EU water framework directive (WFD) acquires spatially distributed analyses of the water and substance dynamics in mesoto macro-scale catchments. For this purpose, modelling tools or systems are needed which are robust and fast enough to be applied on such scales, but which are also able to simulate the impact of changes on ...

We have detected 18 sources over 6 σ threshold within two regions 8 ′ .3×16 ′ .9 and 8 ′ .3×33 ′ .6 in the vicinity of the point with α=03 h 31 m 02 s .45 (J2000) and δ=+43 • 47 ′ 58 ′′ .5 (J2000) using a CHAN DRA ACIS (S+I) observation. Two of the sources were detected before with ROSAT HRI and one source could be closely identified with a star in the optical catalog, USNO A-2. We have also st...

The absolute position of Sgr A*, the compact radio source at center Milky Way, had been uncertain by several tens milliarcseconds. Here we report improved astrometric measurements and proper motion A*. Three epochs phase-referencing observations were conducted with Very Long Baseline Array for A* 22 43 GHz in 2019 2020. Using extragalactic sources submilliarcsecond-accurate positions as referen...

We report observations during 2008 October of the first recorded superoutburst of a previously unknown SU UMa-type dwarf nova in Draco located at 19h 14m 43.52s +60° 52’ 14.1” (J2000). Simbad lists a 21 st magnitude star at this position with identifiers GSC2.3 N152008120 and USNOB1.

In this paper we describe the U−band imaging of the F02 deep field, one of the fields in the VIRMOS Deep Imaging Survey. The observations were done at the ESO/MPG 2.2m telescope at La Silla (Chile) using the 8k × 8k Wide-Field Imager (WFI). The field is centered at α(J2000)=02 h 26 m 00 s and δ(J2000)=-04 • 30 ′ 00 ′′ , the total covered area is 0.9 deg 2 and the limiting magnitude (50% complet...

Received ; accepted – 2 – ABSTRACT We report on the discovery of a new pulsating X–ray source during Rossi X–ray Timing Explorer observations of a low galactic latitude field centered at RA (J2000) = 19 hr 05 m 43 s and Dec (J2000)= +08 • 58 ′ 48 ′′. Significant pulsations were detected by both the PCA and HEXTE instruments aboard RXTE at a fundamental period of 89.17 ± 0.02 seconds, with highe...

Aims. A group of new γ−ray pulsars has recently been detected by FERMI Large Area Telescope (LAT) in a blind search. In this paper, we report the results from searching for the multi-wavelength counterparts of these pulsars. Methods. To search for their counterparts, we have cross-correlated the FERMI LAT Bright γ-ray Source List with the XMM-Newton serendipitous source catalogue (SSC), data ar...
