Accounting for less than 5% of all vulvar malignancies, primary carcinoma of the Bartholin gland is rare. Cancers arising in the Bartholin duct are most commonly adenocarcinomas or squamous cell carcinomas; occasionally transitional cell, adenosquamous, and adenoid cystic carcinomas may develop.
