Warehouse location is one of the most important logistics activities. The selection of the most effective warehousing mode has become a strategic study. This paper will introduce the factors influencing the decision process in selecting the warehouse locations based on gravity model approach and analytic hierarchy process. In the end, the author will summarize the methods and the results.

This paper unveils a systematic pattern in China’s processing trade. In a cross-section of Chinese provinces, the average distance traveled by processing imports (import distance) is negatively correlated to the average distance traveled by processing exports (export distance). To explain this pattern, we set up a three-country industry-equilibrium model in which heterogeneous firms from two ad...

abstract t his paper explains bilateral trade patterns between south korea and thirteen opec member countries over the period 1980-2014 using a gravity model. the estimation results show that the gravity equation fits the data reasonably well. we confirmed the existence of long term relationships between the bilateral trade flows and the main components of gravity model - gdp, income (gdp per c...

Analysis of various isolates of Plasmodium falciparum from East and West Africa and from South-east Asia showed that some of the parasite enzymes can exist in more than one electrophoretic form. At least one form of each enzyme was common to parasites from all three regions. The enzyme forms could be used to differentiate morphologically indistinguishable samples of P. falciparum.

We show how a Metric Affine theory of Dilaton gravity can be reduced to an effective Riemannian Dilaton gravity model. A simple generalization of the Obukhov-Tucker-Wang theorem to Dilaton gravity is then presented. 04.20.-q, 04.40.-b, 04.50.+h, 04.62.+v [email protected]

Drawing on a new and comprehensive measure of logistics quality, our gravity model suggests logistics in the exporting and partner-country can have an important impact on bilateral exports. A one standard deviation improvement in the exporter’s logistics quality, which for example would improve Gabon to the level of Guinea, would raise exports by almost 60%. Landlocked countries’ exports depend...

Trade relationships built through production chains appear to be lasting due to relation-specific nature of the transactions, compared with the usual transactions of goods sold on the open market. This paper aims to verify such stability of international production networks at the global level, with special emphasis on intra-East Asian trade. A series of survival analyses provide an evidence su...
