In the present paper, we introduce the Durrmeyer variant of Baskakov-Bezier operators Bn,α(f, x), which is the modified form of Baskakov-Beta operators. Here we obtain an estimate on the rate of convergence of Bn,α(f, x) for functions of bounded variation in terms of Chanturiya’s modulus of variation. In the end we also propose an open problem for the readers.

A-patches[BCX94a] are implicit surfaces in Bernstein-Bezier(BB) form that are smooth and single-sheeted. In this paper, we present algorithms to utilize the extra degrees of freedom of these patches for local shape co·ntrol. A ray shooting scheme is also given to rapidly generate polygonal approximations of A-patches for graphic display. A distributed implementation of this scheme gives near "r...

In this paper, a new numerical method is presented for solving the optimal control problems of Bang-Bang type with free or fixed terminal time. The method is based on Bezier polynomials which are presented in any interval as $[t_0,t_f]$. The problems are reduced to a constrained problems which can be solved by using Lagrangian method. The constraints of these problems are terminal state and con...

In computational geometry (the computer representation, analysis and synthesis of shape information*) interpolation and approximation techniques are often used for both curves and surfaces. However, the properties of 'shape' are different from the properties of functions and the well-known techniques of functional interpolation and approximation are not necessarily suitable. Shape is, for examp...
