A 59-year-old man presented to the gastroenterology clinic with 2 weeks of worsening lower back pain. There was associated poor appetite, fatigue, night sweats, and chills. The patient's medical history was significant for well-controlled hypertension and sigmoid diverticulosis. The thrombosis probably resulted from inflammation in the adjacent diverticulum.

Non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) causes many deaths worldwide and its incidence is increasing. They commonly occur in middle-aged and elderly people and are disseminated at diagnosis. The patients usually present with lymphadenopathy, fever, night sweats and weight loss. We report an interesting case of NHL in a 35 year old female, who primarily presented with irregular bleeding per vaginum.

We report a case of isolated splenic cat scratch disease in an immunocompetent woman. The clinical presentation of prolonged fever, night sweats, weakness, and intrasplenic lesions was highly suggestive of lymphoma. This is the second reported case of isolated splenic cat scratch disease in an adult and the first in a healthy adult.

A 38-year-old man with a ventriculoatrial shunt presented with non-specific symptoms (headache, back pain, night sweats) and inconclusive laboratory results. He showed an extremely high titre of antibody to Staphylococcus epidermidis which proved diagnostic of shunt infection. This was confirmed on shunt removal and he was successfully treated.
