Using multipler techniques and Lyapunov methods, we derive explicit decay rates for the energy in the higher-dimensional system of thermoelasticity with a nonlinear velocity feedback on part of the boundary of a thermoelastic body, which is clamped along the rest of its boundary.

a novel ultra wideband microstrip bandpass filter using radial stub loaded resonator and interdigital coupled lines is presented in this paper. the radial stub loaded resonator and decagonal patch form a resonator named m to create tuneable multiple notches in the passband for suppression wlan interference. to realize sharp roll-off, two adjustable transmission nulls are located at the lower an...

A coupled thermal, hydrologic and mechanical (THM) analysis is conducted to evaluate the impact of coupled THM processes on the performance of a potential nuclear waste repository at Yucca Mountain, Nevada. The analysis considers changes in rock mass porosity, permeability, and capillary pressure caused by rock deformations during drift excavation, as well as those caused by thermomechanically ...

Purpose – This study shows that the journal impact factor is not able to reflect the full impact of scholarly journals and provides an overview of alternative and complementary methods in journal evaluation. Design/methodology/approach – Aslib Proceedings (AP) is exemplarily analyzed with a set of indicators from five dimensions of journal evaluation, i.e. journal output, content, perception an...

in this paper, a thermoelasticity solution for steady state response of thick cylinders which are subjected to pressure and external heat flux in inner surface is presented. displacement field obeys the kinematics of the first order shear deformation theory (fsdt). it is assumed that the temperature varies both along the length and the thickness. the variation of the temperature occurs linearly...
