Of the alcohol-related risks faced by college students, it is arguable that none presents a greater public health hazard than driving after drinking (DAD). The present study examined the extent to which students' injunctive misperceptions toward DAD predicted the likelihood to engage in DAD and how this relation was mediated by self-approval of DAD. Participants were 2,848 college students (59....

OBJECTIVE We investigated demographic influences on Korean version of Disability Assessment for Dementia (DAD-K) performance and developed normative data for DAD-K. METHODS The DAD-K was administered to 2362 normal controls (NCs), 296 patients with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and 293 patients with Alzheimer's disease (AD). MANOVA and ROC curve analysis were used to compare DAD-K performan...

hydrochlorothiazide (hct) is a diuretic agent which is shown to be effective in the treatment of hypertension. literature reports have demonstrated that urinary excretion data may be used to assess the bioavailability of various formulations containing this thiazide. also hct consumption by the athletes is one of the drugs which should be regulated by world anti-doping agency (wada), because of...

gc-fid and hplc-dad were developed for determination of menadione (mn) and menadione sodium bisulphite (msb). by means of each method, quantitative analysis of msb in commercial pharmaceutical was performed in both direct analysis of msb and analysis of mn by converting msb to mn with sodium carbonate. gc-fid method was carried out on the hp-5 capillary column using nitrogen gas. hplc-dad metho...

The human dad-1 cDNA homolog was isolated from rice plants. The amino acid sequence of the predicted protein product is well conserved in both animals and plants. This rice dad-1 homolog can rescue the temperature-sensitive dad-1 mutants of hamster cells from apoptotic death, suggesting that the rice dad-1 homolog also functions as a suppressor for programmed cell death.

Diffuse alveolar damage (DAD) is a histological change in lung tissue, and is generally caused by an acute lung injury, which is characterized by bilateral and widespread damages. Localized DAD occurs very rarely. The causes for DAD are numerous, but the chief cause is acute interstitial pneumonia or acute exacerbation of idiopathic interstitial pneumonia, in cases of idiopathic manifestation. ...

Mammalian and fungal Diaphanous-related formin homology (DRF) proteins contain several regions of conserved sequence homology. These include an amino-terminal GTPase binding domain (GBD) that interacts with activated Rho family members and formin homology domains that mediate targeting or interactions with signaling kinases and actin-binding proteins. DRFs also contain a conserved Dia-autoregul...

During a layer-3 handoff, address acquisition via DHCP is often the dominant source of handoff delay, duplicate address detection (DAD) being responsible for most of the delay. We propose a new DAD algorithm, passive DAD (pDAD), which we show to be effective, yet introduce only a few milliseconds of delay. Unlike traditional DAD, pDAD also detects the unauthorized use of an IP address before it...

Duplicate address detection (DAD) is an important component of the address resolution protocol (ARP) and the neighbor discovery protocol (NDP). DAD determines whether an IP address is in conflict with other nodes. In traditional DAD, the target address to be detected is broadcast through the network, which provides convenience for malicious nodes to attack. A malicious node can send a spoofing ...
