We study corrections to the Heisenberg interaction between several lateral, single-electron quantum dots. We show, using exact diagonalization, that three-body chiral terms couple triangular configurations to external sources of flux rather strongly. The chiral corrections impact single-qubit encodings utilizing loops of three or more Heisenberg coupled quantum dots.

We study by exact diagonalization, in the lowest Landau level approximation, the Coulomb interaction problem of N=4 and N=6 quantum dots in the limit of zero Zeeman coupling. We find that meron excitations constitute the lowest lying states of the quantum dots. This is based on a mapping between the excitations of the dot and states of the Haldane-Shastry spin chain.

A role of the multipole interaction in the description of the △I=4 staggering phenomenon is investigated in a model consisting of a single-j shell filled by identical nucleons. Exact diagonalization of the quadrupole-plushexadecapole Hamiltonian shows that the hexadecapole-hexadecapole interaction can produce a △I=4 periodicity in the yrast sequence. We analyze the thermal conductivity of frustrated spin-1/2 chains within linear-response theory focusing on its frequency dependence at finite temperatures. Using exact diagonalization, the low-frequency limit of the thermal conductivity is discussed in the high-temperature regime.

We present the next-to-leading strong interaction corrections to the ∆F = 2 Hamiltonian in the MSSM with exact diagonalization of the squark mass matrices. These results allow phenomenological studies of neutral meson mixing in scenarios with non-degenerate squarks, with control over the renormalization scale and scheme dependence.
