Abstrct :In this study, SiC particles were incorporated by using Friction Stir Processing (FSP) into the 6351 aluminium alloy to form particulate composite materials. Sampels were subjected to constant rotational and traverse speeds of the FSP tool with and without SiC reinforcements. Microstructural observations were carried out by employing optical microscopy of the modifiedsurfaces. Mechanic...

Clove (Syzygium aromaticum) and turmeric (Curcuma longa) extracts were tested against crucifer pathogens using soaking method. Both extracts showed inhibitory effects on the pathogens. The results of antifungal activities revealed that clove extract was indicated the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of Alternaria brassicicola and Fusarium oxyporum at 1900 ppm and 2300 ppm respectively. Wh...

The concept of graph symmetry is explained in terms of the vertex automorphism group, which is a subgroup of the complete vertex permutation group. The automorphism group can be deduced from the automorphism partition of graph vertices. An algorithm is described which constructs the automorphism group of a graph from the automorphism vertex partitioning. The algorithm is useful especially for g...

This article considers interaction among participation in the Food Stamp Program (FSP), food security status, and the composition of food expenditures. A quadratic almost ideal demand system with a bootstrapping two-step method of estimation is applied to data from the Current Population Survey–Food Security Supplement data and used to estimate the model and account for endogeneity between the ...

Friction stir processing (FSP) was used as a cladding method for the fabrication of a AA2024 clad layer on a AA1050 sheet. Crossover multi pass FSP with 50% overlap was considered as the cladding method. Effects of the number of FSP passes and post heat treatment on the microstructure and properties of clad layers were evaluated. Microstructural evolutions during the FSP and heat treatment were...

Both the Food Stamp Program (FSP) and Aid to Families with Dependent Children (AFDC) saw unprecedented caseload growth from the late 1980s until 1994, followed by caseload declines in the following years. These rapid caseload declines are attributed to changing macroeconomic conditions and to substantial changes in program design. First, in the early 1990s, states applied for waivers from feder...

Two different aspects of the thermal stability of grains were studied – (i) thermal stability of grain structure evolution during friction stir processing (FSP), and (ii) thermal stability of grains after FSP. It was concluded that Al3(Sc,Zr) dispersoids are effective in limiting grain growth to ultrafine grained regime (UFG) by stabilizing the microstructure during FSP. The presence of these d...

CONTEXT Chronically homeless adults with severe mental illness are heavy users of costly inpatient and emergency psychiatric services. Full-service partnerships (FSPs) provide housing and engage clients in treatment. OBJECTIVE To examine changes in recovery outcomes, mental health service use and costs, and quality of life associated with participation in FSPs. DESIGN A quasi-experimental, ...

The Fusion Simulation Project (FSP) is envisioned as a 15 year, $20M/year multi-institutional project to develop a comprehensive simulation capability for magnetic fusion experiments with a focus on the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER). The FSP would be able to contribute to design decisions, experimental planning and performance optimization for ITER, substantially incre...
