High-dose ionizing radiation induces severe DNA damage in the epithelial stem cells in small intestinal crypts and causes gastrointestinal syndrome (GIS). Although the tumour suppressor p53 is a primary factor inducing death of crypt cells with DNA damage, its essential role in maintaining genome stability means inhibiting p53 to prevent GIS is not a viable strategy. Here we show that the innat...

Today information systems play key role in new century, geographical information system (GIS) as a special class of information system. Now we are moving wired to wireless network, that is mobile environment shown in fig2 (any where any time and any thing computing), plays key role in this new century. In this application mobile GIS, which will be a network environment, is proposed, which can p...

With the development of mobile devices and digitalization of information, the GIS system will be more popular than before. For the variable of mobile devices and different system structure, the design of universal embedded GIS system will be more difficult. In this paper, we talked the features of embedded GIS and the key techniques, design a highly portable general embedded GIS platform, and b...

Cutting-edge tourism portals have to integrate GIS information. However, GIS data formats differ from usual tourism portal data formats. In this paper we propose a web application architecture which uses GIS as a main information resource and therefore diverges from standard web application architectures. GIS data as well as relational data is wrapped into XML and processed by an XSLT processor...

Data is the core of Geographical Information System (GIS). Collecting and updating geographically referenced and descriptive data is necessary for GISs. Ignoring the updating process will obviously decrease the usefulness of GIS; therefore, GIS databases must be updated to make better use. There are different methods to collect and update GIS data, for example, by field survey, remote sensing, ...

The purpose of this paper is to provide an introduction to geographic information systems (GIS) and a research framework for information systems researchers. The paper summarizes the main GIS features, functions, and capabilities, including a research framework for GIS. In addition, several opportunities for research are suggested including those related to GIS management, organizational impact...

The present work presents and evaluates a method to automatically select training samples of medium resolution satellite images within a supervised object oriented classification procedure. The method first takes a pair of images of the same area acquired in different dates and segments them in homogeneous regions on both images. Then a change detection algorithm takes stable segments as traini...

The research reported in this paper uses wireless sensor networks to provide salient information about spatially distributed dynamic fields, such as regional variations in temperature or concentration of a toxic gas. The focus is on deriving qualitative descriptions of salient changes to areas of high-activity that occur during the temporal evolution of the field. The changes reported include r...

A key issue to address in biological data integration is how to detect changes to the underlying biological data sources. In this demonstration, we present a novel system called BIDEL for detecting changes to genomic and proteomic data (sequences and annotations). We transform heterogeneous biological data to XML format (if necessary) and then detect changes between two versions of unordered XM...

In this paper, we formulate the Canonical Correlation Analysis (CCA) problem on matrix manifolds. This framework provides a natural way for dealing with matrix constraints and tools for building efficient algorithms even in an adaptive setting. Finally, an adaptive CCA algorithm is proposed and applied to a change detection problem in EEG signals.
