Hepatitis E is a single stranded RNA virus endemic to parts of Asia and Africa. Presentation ranges from asymptomatic to fulminant hepatic failure. Extrahepatic manifestations include acute pancreatitis, GuillainBarre syndrome, neuralgic amyotrophy, hemolytic anemia, thrombocytopenia, glomerulonephritis, and mixed cryoglobulinemia.
