In this paper, a new iterative method for solving the system of nonlinear equations is suggested based on Newton-Raphson method and homotopy analysis method. Comparison of the result obtained by present method with Newton-Raphson method and homotopy perturbation method reveals that the accuracy and fast convergence of the proposed method.

In this work, Liénard equations are considered. The limit cycles of these systems are studied by applying the homotopy analysis method. The amplitude and frequency obtained with this methodology are in good agreement with those calculated by computational methods. This puts in evidence that the homotopy analysis method is an useful tool to solve nonlinear differential equations.

in this paper, we conduct a comparative study between the homotopy perturbation method (hpm) and adomian’s decomposition method (adm) for analytic treatment of nonlinear volterra integral equations, and we show that the hpm with a specific convex homotopy is equivalent to the adm for these type of equations.
