In a previous paper, the author has introduced a number of homomorphisms of an arbitrary semigroup into the translational hull of certain Rees matrix semigroups or orthogonal sums thereof. For regular semigroups, it is proved here that all of these homomorphisms have the property that the image is a densely embedded subsemigroup, i.e., is a densely embedded ideal of its idealizer, and that the ...

We believe that the study of the notions of universal algebra modelled in an arbitarry topos rather than in the category of sets provides a deeper understanding of the real features of the algebraic notions. [2], [3], [4], [S], [6], [7], [13], [14] are some examples of this approach. The lattice Id(L) of ideals of a lattice L (in the category of sets) is an important ingredient of the categ...

In this note we study some topological properties of bounded sets and Bourbaki-bounded sets. Also we introduce two types of Bourbaki-bounded homomorphisms on topological groups  including, n$-$Bourbaki-bounded homomorphisms and$hspace{1mm}$ B$-$Bourbaki-bounded homomorphisms. We compare them to each other and with the class of continuous homomorphisms. So, two topologies are presented on them a...

We present a direct approach to constructing homomorphisms of A/-continuous lattices, a generalization of continuous lattices, into the unit interval, and show that an M -continuous lattice has sufficiently many homomorphisms into the unit interval to separate the points. In the past twenty years the concept of a continuous lattice and its generalizations have attracted more and more attention....

In this paper, we have introduced the notion of vague Lie ideal and have studied their related properties. The cartesian products of vague Lie ideals are discussed. In particular, the Lie homomorphisms between the vague Lie ideals of a Lie algebra and the relationship between the domains and the co-domains of the vague Lie ideals under these Lie homomorphisms are investigated. Mathematics subje...

In this paper, we intend to study a connection between rough sets and lattice theory. We introduce the concepts of upper and lower rough ideals (filters) in a lattice. Then, we offer some of their properties with regard to prime ideals (filters), the set of all fixed points, compact elements, and homomorphisms. 2012 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.

We prove the following result: Theorem. Every algebraic distributive lattice D with at most א1 compact elements is isomorphic to the ideal lattice of a von Neumann regular ring R. (By earlier results of the author, the א1 bound is optimal.) Therefore, D is also isomorphic to the congruence lattice of a sectionally complemented modular lattice L, namely, the principal right ideal lattice of R. F...

We construct an Identity-Based Key Encapsulation Mechanism (IBKEM) in a generic “leveled” multilinear map setting and prove its security under multilinear decisional Diffie-Hellmanin assumption in the selective-ID model. Then, we make our IB-KEM translated to the GGH framework, which defined an “approximate” version of a multilinear group family from ideal lattices, and modify our proof of secu...

We study well-rounded lattices which come from ideals in quadratic number fields, generalizing some recent results of the first author with K. Petersen [8]. In particular, we give a characterization of ideal well-rounded lattices in the plane and show that a positive proportion of real and imaginary quadratic number fields contains ideals giving rise to well-rounded lattices.

We show that any non-type I separable unital AF algebra B can be modeled from inside by a nonnuclear C*-algebra and from outside by a nonexact C*-algebra. More precisely there exist unital separable quasidiagonal C*-algebras A B C of real rank zero, stable rank one, such that A is nonnuclear, C is nonexact, and both A and C are asymptotically homotopy equivalent to B. In particular A, B and C h...
