This paper provides lower orientable k-step domination number and upper orientable k-step domination number of complete r-partite graph for 1 ≤ k ≤ 2. It also proves that the intermediate value theorem holds for the complete r-partite graphs.

In this paper, we study the existence of solutions of a second-order difference equation with summation boundary value problem at resonance by using intermediate value theorems and Schaefer’s fixed point theorem, we obtain a sufficient condition for the existence of the solution for the problem.
We study the properties of locally uniformly differentiable functions on N, a non-Archimedean field extension of the real numbers that is real closed and Cauchy complete in the topology induced by the order. In particular, we show that locally uniformly differentiable functions are C1, they include all polynomial functions, and they are closed under addition, multiplication, and composition. Th...
It is well known that the eigenvalues of any unitary matrix lie on the unit circle. The purpose of this paper is to prove that the eigenvalues of any matrix polynomial, with unitary coefficients, lie inside the annulus A 1 2 ,2 (0) := { z ∈ C | 1 2 < |z| < 2 } . The foundations of this result rely on an operator version of Rouché’s theorem and the intermediate value theorem.
When reasoning formally with polynomials over real numbers, or more generally real closed fields, we need to be able to manipulate easily statements featuring an order relation, either in their conditions or in their conclusion. For instance, we need to state the intermediate value theorem and the mean value theorem and we need tools to ease both their proof and their further use. For that purp...
g. darbo [rend. sem. math. univ. padova, 24 (1955) 84--92] used the measure of noncompactness to investigate operators whose properties can be characterized as being intermediate between those of contraction and compact operators. in this paper, we apply the darbo's fixed point theorem for solving infinite system of linear equations in some sequence spaces.
