In this article, the free vibration analysis of magneto-electro-elastic (MEE) Timoshenko micro beam model based on surface stress effect and modified strain gradient theory (MSGT) under moving nano-particle is presented. The governing equations of motion using Hamilton’s principle are derived and these equations are solved using differential quadrature method (DQM). The effects of dimensionless...

In this paper it is shown that a laminate composed of identical anisotropic layers, like for instance composite plies, cannot reach all the possible elastic states that are allowed by the classical elastic bounds on anisotropic constants. The analysis is carried on and facilitated by the use of particular tensor invariants, the so-called polar parameters.

We determined the total system elastic Helmholtz free energy, under the constraints of constant temperature and volume, for systems comprised of one or more perfectly bonded hard spherical inclusions (i.e. "hard spheres") embedded in a finite spherical elastic solid. Dirichlet boundary conditions were applied both at the surface(s) of the hard spheres, and at the outer surface of the elastic so...

Photoinduced intramolecular charge separation (CS) in a polar polymer glass, cyanoethylated pullulan (CN-PUL), was studied below the glass transition temperature (Tg=395 K). A series of three carbazole (Cz: donor)-cyclohexane (S: spacer)-acceptor (A: acceptor) molecules (Cz-S-A) was used as intramolecular donor-acceptor dyads. The photoinduced CS rate was evaluated by the fluorescence decay mea...

in this work, the mechanism for fracture of brittle substances such as rocks under a uniform normal tension is considered. the oriented straight micro-cracks are mostly created in all the polycrystalline materials resulting from the stress concentrations. the present work focuses on the interactions of the pre-existing micro-cracks, which can grow and propagate within a rock-like specimen. the ...

This paper introduces the Hamiltonian system into quasi-static problems of 3D viscoelastic solids. Based on the principle of elastic-viscoelastic correspondence, the problem of solving partial differential equations is reduced to finding general eigensolutions of the dual equations, and all analytical fundamental eigensolutions and their corresponding Jordan forms are derived. After the symplec...

In the present work a two fluid model for blood flow through abnormally constrictedhuman artery (stenosed artery) has been developed. The model consists of a core region of suspensionof all erythrocytes assumed to be micro-polar fluid so as to include the micro-structural effects inaddition to the peripheral-layer viscosity effects, and a peripheral plasma layer free from cells of anykind of Ne...

In this work, we deal with the 1D compressible fluid coupled with elastic solid in an Eulerian-Lagrangian system. To facilitate the analysis, the Naviers equation for elastic solid is cast into a 2×2 system similar to the Euler equation but in Lagrangian coordinate. The modified Ghost Fluid Method is employed to treat the fluid-elastic solid coupling, where an Eulerian-Lagrangian Riemann proble...
