In this paper, the minimum spanning tree problem is investigated on the graph with fuzzy edge weights. The notion of fuzzy α-minimum spanning tree is presented based on the credibility measure, and then the solutions of the fuzzy α-minimum spanning tree problem are discussed under different assumptions. First, we respectively assume that all the edge weights are triangular fuzzy numbers and tra...

Visual languages allow the user to deal with multimedia information directly. This paper presents visual languages for Tele-Action Objects, which are multimedia objects with associated hypergraph and knowledge structures, capable of automatically reacting to events and supporting effective presentation and efficient communication of multimedia information. We describe the generalized icons for ...

Classic inverse minimum spanning tree problem is to make the least edge weight modification such that a predetermined spanning tree is a minimum spanning tree with respect to the new edge weights. Although many applications can be formulated into this problem, fuzzy parameters are met in some real-world applications. In this paper, a type of inverse minimum spanning tree problem with fuzzy edge...

• A new fuzzy computational model of emotion adapted to the cultural environment. Emotions and mood defined as vectors in a multidimensional space. Vector modulus represents intensity, direction emotion. The Affect Adaptation process updates using Appraised Emotion. uses culture personality agent. Humans use rather vague imprecise words express emotions. Therefore, logic allows affective models...

This paper introduces a new approach for fuzzy interpolation and extrapolation of sparse rule base comprising of membership functions with finite number of characteristic points. The approach calls for representing membership functions as points in high-dimensional Cartesian spaces using the locations of their characteristic points as coordinates. Hence, a fuzzy rule base can be viewed as a set...

Over the years, various methodologies have been investigated and proposed to deal with continuous or numeric data which is very common in any application. With the increasing popularity of fuzzy representation, researchers have proposed to utilize fuzzy logic in decision trees to deal with the situations. This paper presents a survey of current methodology to design FDT (Fuzzy Decision Tree), v...

A fuzzy aspect is introduced into L systems and some of its properties are investigated. The relationship between fuzzy L languages and the fuzzy languages generated by fuzzy grammar defined by Lee and Zadeh is elucidated. The concept of fuzzy entropy of a string is proposed as a measure of fuzziness of the latter. Some relationship between fuzzy L systems and the ordinary L systems is discussed.
