We discuss the global symmetries of the high temperature phase of QCD with Nf massless quarks. We show that the U(Nf ) × U(Nf ) symmetries are only violated by operators of dimension ≥ 3Nf . For Nf > 2 this implies that the thermal two-point correlation functions of the η′ and πa’s are identical. We discuss the implications of this for the chiral phase transition at finite temperature. nick@zen...

Background and Aim. Daphnetin, an active monomer ingredient extracted from D. marginata, is proved to have anti-inflammatory antioxidant effect. The aim of this study explore the effect possible mechanism daphnetin on acute lung injury (ALI) associated with pancreatitis (AP) in mice. Methods. A total 36 mice were randomly assigned into three groups: control group, AP group. mouse model was indu...

Neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF-1) is a significant autosomal dominant disorder with wide spectrum of clinical findings. These signs (Café au lait spots, bone dysplasia, Lisch nodules) usually start to emerge after the first months life and most are benign in nature. On other hand, neoplasms (optic glioma, neurofibroma, malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor, soft tissue sarcoma, leukemia, breast...

Controlling the cation to anion (Mn2+/MnO4−) molar ratios of precursors was used obtain a highly performance capacitive properties nanostructural MnO2 hybridized carbon-based materials on nickel foam (NF) through successive ionic layer adsorption and reaction technology. SEM, XRD, BET, XPS analyses are utilized investigate influence cation/anion as-obtained electrode materials. At lower ratio 1...

We consider a variant of the charge-Q compact Abelian-Higgs model, in which an Nf-dimensional complex vector is coupled with Abelian Z_q gauge field. For Nf=2 and Q=1 we observe several transition lines that belong to O(4), O(3), O(2) universality classes, depending on symmetry breaking pattern at transition. The class independent $q$ as long q>=3. uniquely determined by behavior scalar fields;...

Transcription factors bind specifically to their target elements in the genome, eliciting specific gene expression programs. The nuclear factor-?B (NF-?B) system is a family of proteins comprising inducible transcription activators, which play critical role inflammation and cancer. NF-?B members function as dimers with each monomeric unit binding ?B-DNA. Despite available structures various com...

NF-κB signaling is essential to an effective innate and adaptive immune response. Many immune-specific functional developmental outcomes depend in large on NF-κB. The formidable task of sorting out the mechanisms behind regulation outcome remains important area immunology research. Here we briefly discuss role regulating cell fate decisions at various times path B development, activation, gener...

BACKGROUND Nuclear Factor Y (NF-Y) is a heterotrimeric transcription factor composed of NF-YA, NF-YB and NF-YC proteins. Using the dicot plant model system Arabidopsis thaliana (Arabidopsis), NF-Y were previously shown to control a variety of agronomically important traits, including drought tolerance, flowering time, and seed development. The aim of the current research was to identify and cha...

NF-Y, a trimeric transcription factor (TF) composed of two histone-like subunits (NF-YB and NF-YC) and a sequence-specific subunit (NF-YA), binds to the CCAAT motif, a common promoter element. Genome-wide mapping reveals 5000-15,000 NF-Y binding sites depending on the cell type, with the NF-YA and NF-YB subunits binding asymmetrically with respect to the CCAAT motif. Despite being characterized...

T cell activation requires the import of NF-AT transcription factors to the nucleus, a process promoted by calcineurin-dependent dephosphorylation and inhibited by poorly understood protein kinases. Here, we report the identification of two protein kinases that oppose NF-AT4 nuclear import. Casein kinase Ialpha directly binds and phosphorylates NF-AT4, resulting in the inhibiton of NF-AT4 nucle...
