Climatic change can impose physiological constraints on species and can therefore affect species distribution. Bioclimatic predictors, including annual trends, regimes, thresholds and bio-limiting factors are the most important independent variables in species distribution models. Water and temperature are the most limiting factors in arid ecosystem in central Iran. Therefore, mapping of climat...

In this paper, the problem of calculating the stress intensity factor (SIF) for an orthotropic thick-walled cylinder with a small radial crack subject to internal pressure is considered. The crack is assumed to be an edge crack on the external radius of the cylinder. The stress intensity factor is calculated by superposition of an uncracked cylinder with uniform stress distribution and a cylind...

-The paper presents one simple heuristic method for the reconfiguration of distribution networks in order to reduce the real power loss under normal operating conditions. The proposed me thod is computationally very efficient because it does not require the concept of optimal power flow and require less number of switching operations. The effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated thr...

This paper proposes a robust algorithm for adaptive modelling of EEG signal classification using a modified Extended Kalman Filter (EKF). This modified EKF combines Radial Basis functions (RBF) and Autoregressive (AR) modeling and obtains better classification performance by truncating the filtering distribution when new observations are very informative.

We construct a nonperturbative fully analytical approximation for the thermodynamics and the structure of nonadditive hard-sphere fluid mixtures. The method essentially lies in a heuristic extension of the Percus-Yevick solution for additive hard spheres. Extensive comparison with Monte Carlo simulation data shows a generally good agreement, especially in the case of like-like radial distributi...

In irrigation scheduling, one question is “how much is the optimal depth?”. In this study the optimal irrigation depth (by assuming the power distribution function and by taking into consideration the distribution function, which governs the data (normal distribution)) by considering the environmental effects was determined for three water management strategies (i. e. unlimited, limited nitroge...

A general and rigorous method to deal with singularities at the origin of a polar coordinate system is presented. Its power derives from a clear distinction between the radial distance and the radial coordinate variable, which makes that all delta-functions and their derivatives are automatically generated, and insures that the Gauss theorem is correct for any distribution with a finite number ...

We study systematically stationary solutions to the coupled Vlasov and Poisson equations which have 'self-similar' or scaling symmetry in phase space. In particular, we find analytically all spherically symmetric distribution functions where the mass density and gravitational potential are strict power laws in r, the distance from the symmetry point. We treat as special cases, systems built fro...
