Aim: To describe a rare case of catecholamine induced polymorphic ventricular tachycardia.
Presentation Case: Intermittent attacks Ventricular fibrillation and syncope.
Summary: Catecholaminergic tachycardia (CPVT) is familial cardiac arrhythmia that associated with ryanodine receptor gene (RYR2) or calsequestrin 2 (CASQ2) mutation. It condition occurs in patients structurally norma...

The proposal of adaptation in individual ryanodine receptor (RyR)/Ca 2 1 release channels (Györke and Fill, 1993) has been an exciting concept that has stimulated widespread consideration of the properties and mechanisms involved in the activation and termination of Ca 2 1 release in muscle and other cells. Here, we consider what adaptation of individual RyRs is defined to mean and examine the ...

Cardiac contraction is initiated by Ca(2+) leaving the sarcoplasmic reticulum through the ryanodine receptor (RyR). Although opening of the RyR can be modified by various ligands, these have no maintained effect on contraction. We conclude that modulation of the RyR controls sarcoplasmic reticulum Ca(2+) content rather than cytoplasmic Ca(2+) concentration.

Introduction: A neurodevelopmental disorder, autism is typically identified with three primary behavioral consequences, such as social impairment, communication problems, and limited or stereotypical behavior. Because of its co-morbidity lack therapeutic options, a global economic burden. short chain fatty acid, propionic acid formed biologically by the gut microbiome. Propionic levels that are...

The immunophilin FK506 binding protein 12 (FKBP12) is associated with and modulates the ryanodine receptor calcium release channel of skeletal muscle. Ryanodine receptor has amino acid homology and functional similarity with another intracellular Ca2+ release channel, the inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate receptor (IP3R). In the present study we show that highly purified preparations of IP3R contain...

The ryanodine receptors (RyRs) are a family of Ca2+ release channels found on intracellular Ca2+ storage/release organelles. The RyR channels are ubiquitously expressed in many types of cells and participate in a variety of important Ca2+ signaling phenomena (neurotransmission, secretion, etc.). In striated muscle, the RyR channels represent the primary pathway for Ca2+ release during the excit...

RATIONALE Rnd3, a small Rho GTPase, is involved in the regulation of cell actin cytoskeleton dynamics, cell migration, and proliferation. The biological function of Rnd3 in the heart remains unexplored. OBJECTIVE To define the functional role of the Rnd3 gene in the animal heart and investigate the associated molecular mechanism. METHODS AND RESULTS By loss-of-function approaches, we discov...

Ca(2+) sparks arise from the stochastic opening of spatially discrete clusters of ryanodine receptors called a Ca(2+) release unit (CRU). If the RyR clusters were not spatially separated, then Ca(2+) released from one RyR would immediately diffuse to its neighbor and lead to uncontrolled, runaway Ca(2+) release throughout the cell. While physical separation provides some isolation from neighbor...
