Diagonals of continuous t-norms are studied. The characterization of all functions being diagonals of continuous t-norms is given. To a given diagonal, the class of all continuous t-norms with this diagonal is characterized.

This paper deals with Lipschitzian t-norms. A partial answer to an open problem of Alsina, Frank and Schweizer is given with regard to strict t-norms with smooth additive generators. A new notion of local Lipschitzianity for arbitrary tnorms is introduced. Some remarkable examples of non-Lipschitzian continuous triangular norms are provided.

Let A be the automorphism group of the unit interval with its usual order relation, and let B be the embedding of the multiplicative group of positive real numbers into A given by exponentiation. Strict t-norms are in one-to-one correspondence with the right cosets of B in A: Here, we identify the normalizer N of B in A and give explicit formulas for the corresponding set of t-norms.

The recent advances in the research of left-continuous t-norms is summarized in this talk. The main focus is on construction methods, geometric description, and structural characterization. We point out further research directions and open problems.
